Recently, I received an inquiry for corporate headshots from a newly based company in Mexico, with its headquarters in Lomas de Chapultepec. Having prior experience in the business sector, you can rest assured that deadlines will be met according to your company’s needs. The contact person was swift, providing information about their needs, which also included corporate portraits, as later emails revealed.

We’re looking to get a quotation for your services. Namely, our request is to have your photographer come to our office in Lomas, take photos of our team, edit and post-process, and sending them to us as digital copies.

Right now, we’re looking at photos for 10 pax, on Wednesday this week, April 3rd, but with more employees to come in the future weeks.

As always, everyone inquiring about photography services on my website receives a prompt and fast reply. Replying in a timely manner is a personal goal I set long ago based on previous life experiences and my own impatience. Waiting for days for a simple reply defies the purpose of an online contact option and is something no one should experience.

Before I send you a quotation, please help me with the answers to the following questions:

1. Do you want only corporate headshots? (head and shoulders type of photos?)
2. What background color do you want? I can provide white, grey, and black backgrounds. Note that if you want more than one color, the shooting time will be extended.
3. How many photos do you need per person? This will impact the quote I give you.
4. Which building is excatly in Lomas? Is it on Avenida Paseo de la Reforma, or other street?

Included in the headshot session are the following features:

· Clear and concise directions for each individual to ensure optimal posing and a relaxed atmosphere.
· The images will be delivered digitally, with various crops available, including 1:1, for seamless integration on LinkedIn.
· Comprehensive professional skin retouching, addressing aspects such as blemish removal, color corrections for skin tones, stray hair removal, elimination of white spots on black attire, teeth whitening, and sclera whitening. I’d like to point out that these enhancements are meant to refine the headshots without changing the fundamental appearance of the individuals.

While the features above are inclusive, additional services are available for purchase post-session, contingent upon the digital retoucher’s availability. These services encompass:

· Makeup retouching or digital makeup application.
· Digital “ironing” of suits.
· Digital hairstyling.
· Digital cleaning of glasses.
· Alterations to chin, forehead, nose, cheeks’ widths/heights.
· Any supplementary photos beyond the two included headshots incur an additional charge of 200MXN per image.
· Any requests that were not discussed and agreed upon before the headshots session.

Securing your sessions entails a non-refundable advance payment of 50% of the total cost. This payment can be facilitated through cash, with a meetup in Polanco or via PayPal, but that entails a 10% handling fee.

Some of the latest headshots I’ve done for a company were for BDO-CMC [BDO is a global network of accounting, tax, and advisory firms, often considered among the top accounting firms in the world.], published here, and headshots were used on their presentation page on the company’s website.

Below are the steps needed to complete this photography session in Lomas. Exhibiting due diligence to document the process involved for corporate shoots at the company’s headquarters is not one of my strengths, but you can get an idea from the timelapse I did below. For your reference, that is almost 1 (one) hour; the reason why I need access to the premises at least one hour before the shoot starts.

That is a little bit hilarious; however, it is a very important step in creating corporate portraits. Yes, of course, there is always time involved in packing everything up. Now that’s enough about me, let’s see how it all ended for this shoot, should we?

While on the frequently asked questions, it is stated that edited photos would be delivered in a maximum of 14 working days, I never recall reaching that deadline. As a freelance portrait photographer, Murphy’s Law is a certainty, getting fully booked for a couple of days in a row, leaving no room for editing, which in turn extends the delivery time. In this particular case, the session took place on a Wednesday, and I delivered the photos fully edited the next Tuesday, meaning on the 4th working day(yes, it was a public holiday, but who counts?)

As you can see, the company also needed corporate portraits for its internal use. All were taken on a “pure” white background(have you seen the short timelapse above? The background was the wall.)
