Frequently Asked Questions
What is creative studio photography?
Creative studio photography goes beyond a standard portrait. It’s an opportunity to experiment with lighting, shadow, angles, and mood — in a controlled studio environment where everything can be shaped to your vision. If you’ve ever wanted a portrait that doesn’t look like every other portrait, this is where we build it.
Where is your studio located?
My studio is in Polanco, Mexico City. It’s a professional setup with multiple lighting configurations and backgrounds — white, grey, and black. Sessions are relaxed, unhurried, and conducted in English or Spanish, whichever you prefer.
What should I bring to a creative session?
Bring 2–3 outfit options. Solid colors and textures photograph better than busy patterns. If you have a specific look or mood in mind — bring a reference image. We’ll figure out the rest together in the room.
How long does a creative studio session take?
A minimum of one hour. Most clients find they want more time once they relax into it. The first 10–15 minutes are usually conversation, not shooting — that’s intentional. It’s how we get images that actually look like you.
How many photos will I receive?
Up to 10 professionally retouched, high-resolution images. If you want more, additional images are available at an extra cost. Every image delivered is fully edited — no proofs, no unfinished files.
What does retouching include?
Blemish removal, color correction, stray hair cleanup, and any light adjustments needed to match the mood of the session. The goal is to refine, not replace. Your skin should look like your skin — just on its best day.
Can I use these photos for social media or my website?
Yes. All images come with full personal and commercial usage rights — social media, blog, website, press kit, whatever you need. No restrictions, no watermarks.
I’m not very photogenic. Will this work for me?
That’s the most common thing I hear before a session. The first part of every session isn’t photography — it’s conversation. By the time the camera comes up, most people have forgotten to be nervous. The images tend to surprise people who thought they didn’t photograph well.
