FAQ: Terms, Conditions and Policies
What services do you offer?
I offer professional photography services across three areas: corporate event coverage, executive and corporate headshots, and portrait photography (families, couples, maternity, vacation, and creative studio sessions). Studio sessions take place at my Polanco home studio; on-site sessions at your office or venue.
When and where?
- Outdoor Sessions take place year-round, at any time of the day or week, in and around Mexico City.
- Studio sessions are available year-round in my Polanco studio. The studio is set up for headshots, executive portraits, and creative studio sessions — professional lighting, multiple background options (white, grey, black). Pet portraits are also available on request.
What’s included in event coverage?
Full candid and posed coverage throughout the event. Professionally edited, high-resolution images. Web-optimized versions for social media and email. Online gallery delivery. Commercial usage rights included for internal communications, press, and social media. Minimum booking: 2 hours.
Can you photograph team headshots on-site at our office?
Yes — I offer on-site sessions for corporate teams. Equipment travels to your location. Consistent backgrounds and lighting for the entire team. Quote based on number of people and location.
How long does a headshot session take?
60–90 minutes. Not rushed — we take time to relax, try different expressions, and find images that genuinely represent you. Morning sessions tend to work best.
What background color should I choose?
White, grey, and black are all available. For LinkedIn, white or grey tends to read most professional. For personal branding and executive portraits, darker backgrounds convey more authority. I’ll advise on the day based on your outfit and how you plan to use the images.
Why not just use an AI headshot service?
Serious professionals don’t build their image on a filter. AI starts with whatever you gave it — the stiff posture, the forced smile, the version of you that was never comfortable in front of a camera. A real session coaches you past that, in the room, until the confidence is real. The photo is a byproduct. The confidence is the product.
What if I am camera shy?
Most people haven’t spent much time in front of a camera, and both indoor and outdoor sessions can feel overwhelming. It’s a perfectly natural reaction. I guide you through the entire session — posture, expression, breathing — until you feel comfortable and confident. Many of my clients have commented on how much I put them at ease.
“I usually feel very awkward with others taking photos of me – this was NOT the case with Cristian. He made me feel relaxed and comfortable and took some amazing photos. Some of the pictures, I felt like he really captured a side of me that most people don’t understand or see…working with Cristian was more like catching up with an old friend. “ ~ Kareece, from Australia

What about the weather?
Don’t worry. Plans will go ahead. Rain can actually make your outdoor photography session more interesting, giving your photos a dramatic look.
What about clothing?
Solid colors work best — jewel tones and neutral earth tones photograph particularly well. Avoid busy patterns and logos. Bring 2–3 outfit options; I’ll advise on what works best for your background choice and the way you plan to use the images. The most important thing: feel comfortable in what you’re wearing.
What about my supportive friend?
Your comfort is my top priority. If you’d like to bring someone with you, please do. The more relaxed you feel, the better the session will go.
What about getting to know you before the session?
I recommend we connect before the session via WhatsApp, Instagram, or a quick video call. It helps to chat informally about what you’re looking for — that connection makes the session better.
What about extending the shooting time?
If you think you’ll need more time than originally booked, let me know as early as possible. I’ll do my best to accommodate, though it may not always be possible if I have another session scheduled the same day.
How long will it take for you to deliver my photos?
Headshot and portrait galleries are typically delivered within 3–5 business days. Event galleries are delivered within 5–7 business days. Rush delivery is available — ask at booking.
In what form will I receive the photos?
All images are delivered digitally as high-resolution JPEGs. LinkedIn crops (1:1 square) are included with headshot sessions. Social-media-optimized versions are included with all sessions.
What about selecting the final images?
I curate and deliver the final edited selection. The total number of images depends on your session type. If you’d like to be involved in the selection process, let me know at booking — I can share proofs for you to choose from.
How much editing do you do?
All sessions include professional retouching: blemish removal, color correction, stray hair cleanup, and teeth whitening. We refine — we don’t replace. You’ll look like the best version of yourself, not a different person. Retouching is included in pricing; it is not an optional upsell.
What are the costs for your services?
Detailed pricing for each service is on the Packages and Pricing page. Prices are not negotiable. For team headshot packages (5+ people) and corporate event coverage, I provide custom quotes based on scope — contact me with details.
What kind of deposit do you require and how can I pay?
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm any booking. The remaining balance is due on the day of the session. Payment details are provided upon booking confirmation. The deposit secures your date exclusively — I turn down other inquiries for that slot once confirmed.
What if we choose a location outside of Mexico City?
For locations outside Mexico City, travel and accommodation costs are added to the photography rate and quoted as a separate line. These are payable in advance.
What if the location of the shoot requires an admission fee?
Any admission fees for session locations are the client’s responsibility. We’ll discuss logistics in advance.
What is the procedure for booking a session?
Contact me with details about what you’re looking for. I’ll respond within a few hours with options and next steps.
How far in advance should I book my session?
For headshot and portrait sessions, 1–2 weeks’ notice is typical. For corporate events, 2–4 weeks minimum is recommended. High-demand periods (December, conference season) book early.
What if I need to cancel the photo session?
The deposit is non-refundable — it secures your date exclusively and covers advance preparation. Rescheduling is possible with at least 48 hours’ notice; the deposit transfers to the new date. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice forfeit the deposit.
What happens in the case of natural disasters?
In the event of a natural disaster that prevents the session from taking place, your full deposit will be returned, minus any payment processing fees.
What happens should the photographer be unable to attend the photoshoot?
I have never had to cancel an agreed session. In the unlikely event this occurs, I will work with you to reschedule at your convenience or connect you with a trusted local photographer.
What about keeping my images private?
I may use images from your session for portfolio, marketing, and social media purposes. If you prefer to keep your images private, let me know before the session — I fully respect your privacy and will never share images without your consent. Full terms are available in your session contract.
The full terms below apply to all sessions:
