Looking for a Mexico City Photographer Specializing in Sports and Athletic Portraits?
You’re in luck, as I love photographing athletic portraits. Receiving this boy’s mother’s inquiry to shoot his son’s portraits while he was wearing martial arts attire was a happy moment for me. Adding new martial arts portraits to my portfolio wasn’t something I had wished for.
We made a simple plan: to meet in the park and take it from there, depending on and adjusting to the young man’s energy. Having prior experience working with kids, I know that a portrait session with any portrait photographer in Mexico City will be a chore.
After spending a while in the Lincoln park, we headed to Condesa to shoot some more images and try to make the young man feel more relaxed with a portrait photographer around him. It was a great opportunity to grab a portrait of him, his grandma, and his mother. Keep this secret: the grandma wished for this portrait session was near the Chapultepec Castle.
Of course, with so many medals to show off, everyone in his family was very proud of him and his successes. As far as I remember, they mentioned that he had won an overseas contest. That alone is a big enough milestone to celebrate with a portrait session.
While walking around Presidente Masaryk street, we discovered a few beautiful murals that we thought would make for a great background for these athletic portraits. As a portrait photographer, I know most of the places in Polanco.
