Alex, a professional nurse working in the US, recently scheduled an outdoor photo session in Mexico City with me, a professional portrait photographer based in CDMX. He needed a series of portraits for business headshots, a nice header photo for social media, and a book cover.
Where can you schedule a portrait photo session in Mexico City?
Alex emailed me to arrange the session through the contact section on my website. He explained that he would be staying at the Hyatt Regency Mexico City and wanted to schedule a two-hour session. Alex planned to leave town after his vacation, so he was curious if he could take advantage of an outdoor portrait session.

As always, answering quickly is one of my top priorities when serving potential clients. This time, I went above and beyond, throwing in some extra tourist tips, not knowing that Alex was actually coming back to country for a second vacation. Lesson learned: next time I get a portrait session request from someone overseas, I’ll make sure to check if they actually need my “Tour Guide 101” spiel to avoid the cringe of talking about the Mexico City.

If you want me to come to your hotel, you’ll have to ask their permission for the photography session and be clear about the area/s where you want photos. The other option is to visit my home studio in Polanco(a high-end residential building), where I can produce headshots and portraits like in the link below.

Your session will be confirmed only after receiving a nonrefundable downpayment of 50% of the total price. PayPal is possible, but on top of the price, you’ll have to add 10% for their fees.
Safety: Mexico City is a large city with some areas that can be dangerous, especially at night. It is essential to avoid isolated areas, not carry valuable items(watches, bracelets, etc.), and be aware of your surroundings.
Traffic: Mexico City has heavy traffic, especially during rush hours. Plan your trips carefully and allow extra time to get to your destination.
