As a private event photographer, I had the chance to document a baptism in the exclusive part of Mexico City, in Polanco. Being able to document a baptism is a very deeply personal experience, and I thank the family for their trust in sharing such intimate moments with me.

I visited many times the St. Augustine Parish, a beautiful church, while on my way to Lincoln Park. It’s become a routine to stop by a few moments and loosen the tension built the previous days.
Jen contacted me to document the baptism of her children. This was the beginning of getting to know a beautiful family who trusted me to share their intimate moments during their private event.

Mini portrait session
Due to the fast-paced nature of baptisms, I always offer a complimentary mini-portrait session to supplement documenting the private event. While I can capture the details of the ceremony, apart from the extended family and friends group shots, there is not much time to do more. That’s why after everyone had ordered their food at the restaurant in Polanco, I stole the family for a brief moment to create these beautiful portraits in the urban park near the church. If you don’t recognize the area, it is because I have edited the background to remove the street and parking area, keeping only what was important.
To me, only wedding ceremonies might surpass the intricacies of the christening ceremony. I want to skip using the words “I’m in love”, but the truth is that I am in love with documenting baptisms. There is nothing more genuine, more sincere, and innocent than witnessing these ceremonies.

Just to give some information, we are having a Christening and a meal after at a nearby restaurant (trying to book something across the street) for a guest of around 30pax that would mostly consist of family and 5 friends. It would be a simple christening event and a meal afterwards. No fancy picture taking for the event preparation, just the event itself, afterwards photo at the church and a bit on the restaurant is what I want. Thanks a lot.Enjoy your vacation.

Christian took the photos at a recent baptism and also at the lunch event afterwards. He did a truly fantastic job, not only with the photos but with how he inter acted with everyone which helped him capture the moments perfectly.
When you look into the small detail, the differences between the raw photo and the delivered article you can see he is a real expert.
