As an English-speaking photographer in Metro Manila, I enjoy shooting all pre-wedding events, be it a proposal, engagements, or Save The Date photography sessions, anywhere in and around the city.

What is the most common reason why couples want a Save The Date Session?
A Save The Date photography session is usually a pre-wedding step, and if you’re reading this, you’re likely engaged and have already set a wedding date. If you need other types of photos, check out my blog section, where I discuss most of the services I offer in detail.
The most common reason couples want Save The Date photos is to inform their family and friends about their beautiful, once-in-a-lifetime event. Most couples use the images to create Save The Date cards, which they mail to their guests to let them know about their life-changing event, using a personalized message and brand new portraits. It’s a brilliant way to introduce your other half to those who don’t know them yet!

Having lived in Asia for more than six years, I’ve found that it’s customary for most weddings to have an introductory video made from slideshows, which usually contain photos and short funny videos of the bride and groom. It’s a lovely way to introduce the couple to each other’s families.

Recently, I had the pleasure of working with a couple named Maria and Juan for their Save The Date photoshoot. After exchanging text messages via my Facebook Page, we decided to meet in the bustling area of Makati, where they both live and work. Maria is a Filipina who grew up in Metro Manila and worked as a marketing manager. At the same time, Daisuke is Japanese and studied in Spain, now working as a software developer who moved to the Philippines for work.
Meeting Maria and Daisuke was a beautiful experience as a photographer, and it was clear that they genuinely love each other and are full of joy and patience.

Many people were out and about on the day of the photography session, enjoying the outdoors and taking advantage of the cooler temperatures. We started taking portraits of the couple in the High Street area, a popular spot for locals and tourists alike to walk and enjoy the beautiful weather.
Before leaving the High Street, we took more portraits of the couple in the little Terra Park near Maridien residences, which has a special significance for them as it’s where they first met.
After taking photos in the park, we moved to the nearby Uptown part of Bonifacio Global City, where we took a few beautiful portraits for their future family.
Few words for the international travelers
